Well it’s been a really hectic Summer.
Lots of weddings to talk about… I’ll find some time over the coming weeks to share some photos and film clips.
Busy working with some lovely couples for 2012 too, exciting times ahead.
Oh and that ‘coming soon’ I mentioned a few months ago? Well the cunning plan is maturing nicely and I’ll be ready to share in the next couple of months.
So, speak soon…

Here’s a lovely highlights film for one of my recent weddings at Dalhousie Castle.
Chris has been living and working in Scotland as an Ice Hockey Player for the Dundee Stars for a while now, a long way from his native Michigan, and a long way from Paige. It’s been tough for Paige and Chris to be so far apart for so long, but their wedding in Scotland was a truly special day for them both.
I’m so privileged to be a part of things, and planning a day that means just so much to them both has been an absolute pleasure. It’s most certainly a day of love, laughter and fun. Yes, it was a total hoot and we all had a brilliant day
Paige & Chris are so very much in love, and I think this wedding film clip captures both that emotion, but also the fun of the day just perfectly.
Thanks to Cherry Tree Films for permission to share it with you.
Paige & Chris, I know you are going to be so happy together. Carry on enjoying life as much as you do, and take good care of each other along the way!

Romance is certainly not dead!
My lovely Hubby stunned me last week by announcing on my birthday, that the following Monday he was whisking me off to Paris for a 4 day trip! I had absolutely no idea he’d planned this, and it was a wonderful surprise.
Paris is such a stunning city, with a wonderful relaxed feel about it (which is surprising considering it’s size) and fitting into the cafe and bar culture was a pleasure
We spent some time sightseeing but most of the time just wandering around, soaking up the Parisian atmosphere. We walked for miles each day, and could not have done without the wonders of Compeed
We had an absolutely amazing time and I just had to share some photos that we took along the way.
Thank you hubby…. we’re approaching 15 years of marriage now, and we grow closer and closer as the years fly by…It’s as much fun as ever! Spending time together like that is just perfect.
Next stop…Rome!

Had a brilliant day off yesterday with a bunch of good wedding photographer and filmmaker friends.

It was meant to be a ‘boys day out’ in response to our recent girls Spa day, but the guys were short of numbers so Christina and I stepped in for the first part of the day…Karting at Xtreme Karting in Newbridge.
The racing was SO much fun, even if the guys were a little too aggressive for my liking – spent a lot of time trying not to get bashed out of the way
We had a brilliant morning through, and despite the guys claiming victory you can see from the photo evidence here, Christina and I were the real winners!
Afterwards we went back into town for a spot of lunch, followed by a couple of cocktails with Christina, Jay, Stu and Steve (so funny to see Steve drinking Cosmos!). The cocktails somehow managed to take it right through to dinner which was good planning! Then some tasty Tapas before heading home to relieve the wonderful and patient childminder (my mum!)
I had a superb day – SO brilliant to get out and take a proper day off work every now and again, plus to spend it with such a great bunch of people was just perfect.
Thanks again for a fabulous day out! Steve & Stuart (Cherry Tree Films), Niels (Blue Sky Photography), Christina & Jay (Elemental Weddings), Mark (Archibald Photography) & Paul (Mr Sarah Elizabeth Photography)…you guys are so much fun to be with
Till next time…what was it again? Paintball followed by a Massage and some Prosecco? Ahhhh.

After a busy start to the year I felt it was time for a treat and by sheer co-incidence the fab ‘ItIsOn’ website alert popped up in Twitter….. Scotsman Hotel Spa Day! Whoop!
So a few emails and phonecalls and it was sorted…
The Spa treat was today and I enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing day out with Alie of BlueSkyPhotography, Christina of Elemental Weddings, Sarah of SarahElizabeth Photography and Donna of Archibald Photography
We enjoyed the delights of a relaxing chocolate back massage, a spa facial, a lovely dip in their unique steel swimming pool and a day chilling. Top that off with a pizza and a couple of glasses of vino and it was brilliant. Only hope we can do it every week…er… I mean month.
The boys will no doubt be arranging something similar, although I’m not sure the chocolate back massage is really their thing. No doubt there will me much more macho pursuits!
Great to see you all again ladies….till next time!
Cheers.

ps: no photos I’m afraid…it was a day off after all!

Great news today!
A new wedding film company has been born!
I have worked with a lot of good Wedding Video companies over the years but for me there is one that stands out, and even more so after todays news.
Cherry Tree Films has launched! Well, not so much a launch as a re-brand as it’s the same team behind the multi-award winning Design Scotland Video.
Their ethos is very simple, to provide unique wedding films for couples who are really invested in a bespoke wedding film.
The quality of their work is superb and I’m lucky to get to work with them.
Congratulations again to cherry Tree Films – best of luck guys!

Wow that flew by!
We had a BRILLIANT Christmas break. We indulged, we chilled, we had a few glasses of bubbly…but best of all we shared it with each other, and with good family and friends.
A few dinner parties along the way too which were hilarious, and great to catch up with our good friends over Hogmanay (a relatively well controlled one this year…I do say ‘relatively’
One other thing that the Christmas time gives you is some time to sit back and reflect…and also to look at ‘change’. We’ve had some amazing discussions over that time and although Steve has a rather major change just about to break (oops, can’t say anything just yet), I too have been thinking of new things. Can’t say anything just now but got some great ideas I want to start developing, so watch this space.
Well, whatever 2011 brings you let’s hope it’s fulfilling and successful! Happy New Year!!
All the very best!

Just a very quick update to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! Here’s celebrating a fabulous 2010 and looking forward to an exciting 2011 for everyone.
Have a brilliant christmas break with families and friends! We’re going to take some time to chill as Steve in particular has been working like crazy with is editing, so it’ll be brilliant to just sit down with Steve & Callum and relax.
So, have fun and see you next year!!

OK, I’m a sensible girl….honest!
The thing is, I’m responsible, I’m meticulous, I have exceptional attention to detail….but come on, I’m not past it!
I love to have some fun!
Spent a fab day enjoying this amazing weather. I’m not a skier or snowboarder but give me a sledge and a hillside full of crisp white snow and I’ll be there!
So, here’s a few photos taken by my lovely hubby, of us all having some fun on a family afternoon out.
Wheeeeee!
